Confirmed update: Taiwan’s official repeat-visitor campaign is scheduled to open registration at 10:00 a.m. Taiwan time on October 1, 2026, for qualifying independent travelers arriving from October 10, 2026. An eligible repeat visitor can enter a weekly draw for an NT$5,000 stored-value card and may register one qualifying first-time companion for a separate NT$3,000 draw. Neither reward is guaranteed.

Who can register
The current rules cover independent travelers holding passports other than a Republic of China (Taiwan) passport who plan to stay in Taiwan for 3 to 90 days. Travelers joining a tour group or receiving another Taiwan tourism subsidy are excluded.
- Repeat visitor: must have a valid Taiwan entry record from January 1, 2023 through the day before campaign registration.
- Companion: one friend or relative traveling with the repeat visitor who has not entered Taiwan from January 1, 2023 through the day before arrival.
- Filipino traveler note: a Philippine passport is within the campaign’s general non-Taiwan-passport wording, but the traveler still must satisfy every current campaign and Taiwan entry requirement.

How the official process works
- Register online 7 to 90 days before arrival. Use only the official campaign domain and enter the requested passport, contact and flight information.
- Register the companion in the same process. The companion must travel with the repeat visitor and meet the separate first-visit rule.
- Wait for the weekly draw. Official rules schedule draws for Wednesday at noon, Taiwan time. Winners are notified by email.
- After arrival, complete verification within 24 hours. The current rules require identity and entry verification and an image of the return flight ticket.
- Redeem within 24 hours after verification. Follow the official collection location and identity instructions shown by the campaign.
Do not send passport images or booking details to an unofficial social account, travel seller or copied form. The official registration site is 5000.taiwan.net.tw.
Understand the NT$5,000 and NT$3,000 amounts
- The repeat visitor’s prize is NT$5,000.
- The qualifying companion’s prize is NT$3,000.
- The often-mentioned NT$8,000 total combines two separate possible prizes for two people.
- Registration does not guarantee either traveler will win.
- The reward is a stored-value card subject to the current campaign’s card and use rules, not unrestricted cash.

- Confirm that your companion meets the first-visit rule and is on the same trip.
- Use an email address you can access during travel and check the official draw message carefully.
- Keep the return ticket and entry details needed for the post-arrival verification window.
